In a bid to address the high demand for clinical research talent, Advanced Clinical is hosting an innovation theater at DIA Global in Boston’s Convention and Exhibition Center.

On the first day of the show, June 26th, the global clinical development, and strategic resourcing organization will host its event from 12:05pm until 12:35pm. A multistakeholder panel discussion to address talent market challenges and ask this question: how can the clinical research industry work together in new ways to solve the global workforce crisis?

Advanced Clinical is inviting attendees to learn about the effect on industry volatility on biotechs, diversity, career pathways and more.

The company says that the clinical research talent market is currently experiencing a high demand for skilled professionals due to the rising number and complexity of clinical trials coupled with an increase in the amount of funding cuts that are impacting the biopharma industry. Factor in the need for highly qualified candidates, and the industry is experiencing intense competition for top talent and increased demand for training and professional development programs.

In addition, there has been a shift to more remote work with a renewed emphasis on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Now perhaps more than ever, the life sciences are under intense pressure to both attract and retain top talent in order to ensure success and innovation in the clinical research industry.

The presentation will be moderated by Cheryle Evans, senior vice president, global clinical and biometric operations, Advanced Clinical, and will feature the following industry experts, Susan Landis, executive director, ACRP, Christine Miller, president and CEO, Melinta Therapeutics and Julie Ross, president, and CEO, Advanced Clinical.

“In the weeks we’ve prepared for our discussion in June, I’ve learned so much from my fellow peers and panelists,” said Julie Ross, president and CEO of Advanced Clinical.

“With more people leaving the clinical research industry than entering it, I’m motivated to find new ways to collaborate and bring talented and qualified individuals into our industry while sharpening our focus on retaining the skilled clinical professionals we currently work alongside. They are critical to the betterment of patients’ lives. For this to happen, all stakeholders must be present at and willing to share insights and solutions for driving innovation.”
