Hired someone new and exciting? Promoted a rising star? Finally solved that hard-to-fill spot? Share the news with us, and we’ll share it with others. That’s right. Send us your changes, and we’ll find a home for them. Don’t be shy. Everyone wants to know who is coming and going.
And here is our regular feature in which we highlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that Ansa Biotechnologies hired Jeremiah Hanes as senior vice president, research and development. Previously, he worked at PacBio, where he was most recently vice president, reagents R&D.
But all work and no play can make for a dull R&D veep. So in his spare time, Hanes enjoys the great outdoors in different ways. He has a modest hobby farm on his California property where he harbors mostly goats and chickens. “I grew up in southwestern Nebraska and had just about any animal one could have on a farm. That’s where my love for animals came from.” And he has a similar, but larger spread back in Nebraska. Otherwise, Hanes likes to hike and run once or twice a week, but aims for 7-mile runs on the coast on weekends. “It’s therapy,” he tells us.
