And here is our regular feature in which we highlight a different person each week. This time around, we note that Orionis Biosciences hired Robert Petit as head of early clinical development. Previously, he worked at RGP Biotech, where he was the chief executive officer and a principal.
But all work and no play can make for a dull clinical development executive. So in his spare time, Petit likes to cook. “My parents had a restaurant. I guess you would call it family style, where I grew up in Indiana. And I owned a couple over the years as a sort of side hustle. One was a lunch place in Pennsylvania. So I’m the family cook and my wife is a vegetarian. So it’s a fun challenge to satisfy her dietary preferences. But I’ve briefly studied in schools in Tuscany and Provence. It serves the creative need I have and its fun. Right now I’m making a pot of ground organic turkey chili.”
