The study team’s health informatics group developed a novel clinical decision support (CDS) tool, called IMPROVE-DD VTE CDS, which can be integrated into different electronic health record (EHR) systems. Electronic alerts incorporating VTE risk models could increase appropriate use of Thromboprophylaxis and reduce symptoms of VTE.
